Heads-Up Display

Hi - my 2017 Q7 has the Heads-Up Display (that came with the Tech Pack if I recall at the time), and I'm looking to swap to a new one, but am I right in saying that the Heads-Up Display now is only available with the Vorsprung trim?!? That seems crazy....

It was when I last looked....

Audi have really messed up packs and options but I think it was all part of WLTP

I know more recently we looked at an A6 and basically had to go for Vorsprung to get the items we would like along with stuff we would probably hardly use.

Vorsprung or SQ7 or if you can find a launch car it would have it on also.
i had HUD in my S4 said I wanted in in the next car, but just went for a black edition Q7 without it. It’s a shame, but still a nice car, just have to look down

Urgh, thanks. Seems like such a customer-hostile thing to do - a blatant attempt to drive upsell to the Vorsprung. It used to be a straight option on the base spec at a reasonable cost - which for what is arguably a safety feature is how it should be positioned. :-(

They parked my BE next to the SQ7, was a tad jealous when I saw it, but hey ho, next time maybe!
Have seen an S-Line launch spec car on a dealer site: Used Cars | Kings Lynn | Marriott Motor Group
lots of kit, but my guess is residuals are a lot worse than the matching Vorsprung or SQ7!

just configured a non-Vorsprung SQ7 and it doesn’t have HUD, I assumed the one parked next to mine was just an SQ7 as it had it, but clearly It was the Vorsprung version.
so I adjust my statement

Crazy money cars then - but a Vorsprung SQ7

The other option is to find out from @andyhud007 if it’s possible to retrofit...

However it is all down to WLTP and real works emissions

retro would be nice but cutting / changing the dash and wiring in a brand new car doesn’t appeal too much!
