For those symptoms to be the same over two or three clutches I would say you have a combination of problems, is the car remapped and do you have a habit of holding the car on the clutch on inclines at lights and junctions rather than going into neutral? It is obviously going to have to come apart again so next time a new crank input shaft needle bearing, clutch fork, bearing sleeve with pivot and guide would be extremely recommended as would a strip down inspection of the box to look for any issues. If the needle bearing is found to be damaged the input shaft will need replacing anyway, this is something people often miss.

Yes the car is remapped, Done by Shark about 4yrs ago.
My habits regarding clutch control are the polar opposite , it's second nature for me to take it out of gear and put on the handbrake instead of riding the clutch.
What would be the cost involved in the work you mentioned in previous post. Pls pm if necessary.

I would have to cost it, I give my boxes to a friend to do as I am so fussy my box rebuilds are daft money, this is a 6k rebuild on a 4 Motion 02M on the VR6 turbo to make it front wheel drive and go into a Golf 2.

That's alot of money! Must be some heavy mods/ upgrades in that box. Its probably worth more than my car lol. I couldn't justify spending that on my issue.

No that is why I farm standard rebuilds out to my friend but a recent rebuild he did for me an an A6 Multichronic was nearly 3K before VAT. The box in the picture has a Wavetrac limited slip diff, Bar Tec 4th gear strengthening shaft and support block, modified input shaft for crank spigot bearing retro fit, case frame, steel shift forks with brass shift pads, United Motorsports bevel box eliminator plate, black nitrided gears, ARP diff bolts etc etc

Ive just had a new low mileage gearbox fitted and it has Finally solved the shaky juddery pull offs, movement and vibrations through the gearstick. The old box must have been Very tired as now the car feels ALOT more responsive/sharper.
There is just one issue which remains which was there with the Old box and still there with the New.
At "Random" times from stand still i cannot select 1st gear! this is remedied by going into 2nd gear and then into 1st and does so with ease. what would be causing this?
