Yesterday we drove from Portsmouth to Cornwall. Roughly a 4.5 hour drive. 3 hours into the journey driving up a steep hill, changing down from 6th to 5th the car lost power. More throttle was applied with no increase in power. The clutch pedal seams to have got stuck and it would not change gear. The high revving seriously smoked the clutch. We stopped for 20 minutes then took a short test drive and the car was fine. We continued our journey with no issues.

I've read various post online about sticking clutch but none for the B8

Has anyone experienced this on a 2015 B8, approx. 80k miles? Any thoughts on the problem?

If it smoked that badly (it is an appalling stench) then the system will be life limited now, which engine code?

    Hi Crasher.

    There is no ODB code.

Hello. He wants the code of your engine, which engine you have. Nothing to do with OBD.

And next time your engine "loses power" I suggest you lift off the gas pedal instead of tramping on it and spinning the clutch until it smokes.

Maybe you would find a course on basic engine mechanics quite useful.

My apologies Bumpyroad if my reply sounded sarcastic; it was meant to be helpful, as you evidently were not able to identify the symptoms of a slipping clutch.
