Audi A6 3.0 tdi Temperature sensor

Hi anybody know where the . temperature sensor is located that sends signal to the temperature guage . I have changed the one that is located at the back of the engine under the air pipe from the airbox , no change as temperature guage still reads half way constantly

One and the same, on the metal water transfer pipe at the back of the heads, part number 06A 919 501 A, we use the Febi 29318 repair kit.
