    Hello mates,

    Can you tell me does Polo 9N3 ( 2005-2008 ) 1.4 TDI 60KW have floating flywheel because 1.4 TDI 51KW doesn't?

And also which 1.4 TDI engines have DPF catalyst particulate filter (BWB, BMS...) and since what year DPF was mandatory on VW 1.4 TDI engines?

Because I've seen Polo 1.4 TDI 2007 with DPF, and Polo 1.4TDI 2008 without DPF.

    Best regards!

The 9N3 went upto 2010 model year with the last cars being made November 2009. There were four 1.4 TDI engines, BNM, BNV, BWB and BMS the BWB and BMS always had a DPF but none had a DMF, here a DPF become mandatory from 2009, I don't ever recall seeing a 9N3 with a DPF.

My mistake I meant by floating flywheel - dual mass flywheel or as you said DMF.
If I understood you well only BWB and BMS engines were with DPF but they were very rare engines and the most of 1.4 tdi engines in 9N3s were BNM and BNV engines without DPF.
Also you claim that all 9N3s with 1.4 TDI engine were with single mass flywheel.
What year were BNM and BNV engines produced?

They are listed 2005>2010 but I don’t know your market. They all had single mass flywheels.

OK. Thank you Crasher. You were right for BNM engine.
I've tested Polo with that engine yesterday and didn't have DPF! As regards market I'm looking for cars mostly from German, Italian, and Dutch market.

BTW I've tested today another 1.4 TDI Polo but this time with BMS engine and DPF. I connected VCDS and tried to find informations about DPF (looked in Adv. Meas. Values) but couldn't find anything about DPF or particulate filter information in right selection menu.
I thought maybe DPF was taken out and turned off but when I turn ignition on DPF yellow warning light stands at dashboard and few moments after along with other warning lights turns off.
I'm totally confused is there any problem with DPF or I just could't find it with VCDS?

It doesn't make any sense. One Polo 2007 with BWB engine had readings from Advanced Measuring Values about DPF, and this one was 2008 with BMS engine didn't have any information about DPF.
