Fitted new ATE discs & Bosch Pads week ago. The Passenger side has a discloured streak in comparison?

I'm thinking contamination or overheating but I'm no expert. I wiped it with a tissue and brake cleaner. Tissue came off abit black, I thought brake dust but the other side didn't produce much.

Jack it up, pump the brakes and see if the wheel still rolls freely. Do it a few times and you’ll see if your calliper is sticking or not.

Doesn’t really matter, obviously the more you do it the more the pressure will build up and with the engine off there’s no assistance from the servo. You’re just seeing if the piston is backing off equally from both sides or if the passenger is sticking a bit.

Okay cheers, I'll give this a go today. It's strange because They are new and all the factory zinc coating has worn off. After that I did notice odd marks, just found a picture I took earlier before its gotten like this.

How many miles are you doing daily and what kinda roads? It can take weeks of small journeys to bed discs and pads in.

At the moment because of Covid and Working from home, honestly hardly any driving. I did go on a few just for bedding and such. I'm only concerned because the difference between the PAS and Driver is very different.

Do the resistance test but like as I said it can take a while to bed in properly where you get full pad mating.

Just did the test, drivers side span freely after pumping and could move with one hand. Passenger was engaged and very hard to move. So something's deffo sticking. . The steering also pulls to the right abit when braking and I was told if your car veers when braking. Check the opposite side. Which makes sense in this case.

Looks like your near side calliper is sticking then. Might just need the piston cleaning with a bit of fine sandpaper
