non starter after being left for two weeks

I was going to get a new cluster and get it coded originally but I cant find anyone who is prepared to do it , they all say audi a3 8p no chance mate ffs

It will only work with a new genuine cluster, I have tried with used clusters and lost hours of my life and will not try anymore and anyone with any sense will do the same.

Got the cluster back and still non starter , towed it to our local garage and bump started it , now it is fine for starting , our local garage seems to think it was some sort of fuel lock , scanned it tonight and I have multiple fault codes and now I have steering sensor fault as well , I'm sick to death of this piece of **** car . Ps it drives fine but just now has orange steering wheel light on , brake error light , aux heater faults , can bus errors etc etc , I will put tonight's scan on here for you all to laugh at .

Steering will probs clear after a drive? Unless there’s something in the brake system.

Canbus errors are normally in door looms where it goes body to doors.

Aux heaters have failed in them all due to valeo and their absolutely barbaric design.

Clear the codes, drive the car, ignore the POS useless aux heater code, it is nearly as useless as the rear wiper motor, also made by the company which has done more to damage the reputation of VAG than any other, Valeo... they make the seventies laughing stock of “Lucas, prince of darkness” look like an example of excellence... how does the company survive?

It has been for short drives today and the steering wheel warning light is still on and comes back straight away if I clear it , this has only come on since I had the battery off the car to charge it while the cluster was away being checked .

Might just need angle sensor calibrating. Full left hold for 10 full right hold for ten dead straight hold for 10. Key off and out for 30 seconds. Post scan and it’ll be more obvious
