Hello, just after a bit of clarity. Bought a multifunction steering wheel part 8P0419019DT

The guide I’m following says the 3 wires should be:

    Pin 1 blue (LIN)
    Pin 2 red(+12)
    Pin 3 black

    In my case pins are
    Pin 1 black
    Pin 2 yellow
    Pin 3 red

I would assume that red and black are obviously power and yellow is lin but didn’t want to connect it wrong. Is there anyone with access to a wiring diagram for this wheel?

    Thanks in advance.

So the wiring guide I followed was right but now I’m having another issue which I’m hoping someone can help me with.

Original steering module - 1K0953549AH mid line
    I’ve replaced with - 1K0953549AG high line

I’ve recalibrated the steering angle sensor etc and that’s all come back working again. You have to clear the previous values stored using a login code and adaptation channel 60 (found a guide in VCDS wiki). No faults showing BUT the horn doesn’t work anymore. I’ve tried a different steering module 1K0953549AS, that one caused an ignited fault and also horn didn’t work so I went for the AG one.

The steering wheel buttons light up now constantly which I don’t think they should but they react to the dimmer next to the headlight switch so it’s getting the “lin” messages. Am I missing something? Surely the horns not wired differently with these units?

    Any ideas

So I’ve reverted back to the original unit whilst I workout what the hell im doing wrong. I think I need a different module.

If the AH was the factory fitted module is there a way to find out what the high line would have been?

From the 2006 model year, the AE, AF and AH are all superseded by 8P0 953 549 F no matter which wheel is fitted.

Thanks a lot for that. I’ve been an idiot and not noticed that the beginning is different. I’ve ordered the one quoted and will try that!

    Thanks again.
