    Hi,

I'm in desperate need of help regards replacement of the ABS module in my A4 B6 1.9tdi Quattro. I would appreciate advice on how to program it. I tried with a unregistered VCDS lite, seemed ok for the first few steps eg coding for the ABS module but after that I could not get the steering angle calibration done. Hence I think it wont save the coding for the ABS module.

Can coding of the ABS module be completed with unregistered copy of VCDS lite?

If not can it be completed with by registering VCDS lite?

or is it not possible without the full version of VCDS?

    Help would be appreciated.

Thought the calibration was just turning lock to lock a few times.

Did that, but final stages son my copy of VCDS lite (unregistered) don't appear to be the same as that shown on the VCDS manufactures youtube video.

Have you every completed coding using VCDS lite?

No I bought a cable with a full license from genden for a few hundred as was struggling with the lite version. Haven’t looked back. Think it was a throttle body adaptation I was struggling with to do on the light.

I believe if I register the VCDS lite version the cost is $100. But am not keen on doing that if it still won't code the ABS module. Hence am keen to know of the experience of others.

Was your version of the lite version you had problems with registered or the free basic lite version?

I can’t remember now, I think I used the free version then went straight to the full setup.
