    Hi,
Im a newbie and have a question re my 2006 LT35 motorhome.
The speedo panel has several fine cracks in the instrument panel face / screen .
Can this be replaced or repaired with a clear repair .Must be a weakness in the screen design ?
Hoping someone has experienced this issue
Read somewhere that acetone can fuse plastic together with a good clear result ??
    thanks
    Bryan

You cannot buy the screen, only the complete unit which is 400 plus installation programming to match the vehicle and the later is not at all straightforward outside of the VW commercial dealer network.

Are you getting the effect where cracks all the way through the acrylic create a dark or shiny "strip" where light is blocked by the crack?

I think you'll struggle with acetone, or any welding chemical, unless you take the acrylic out and can lay it flat to push the pieces together using acetone or (perhaps better as a one-time-only try) a display case adhesive like Loctite 9483. Not sure if the plastic used is acrylic / Perspex or a polystyrene, and the best adhesive for optical outcome may differ.
