Front suspension knock

Some help / advice needed if possible please.

I have recently notices a "slight knocking from what appears the front suspension, only really happens on uneven road surface. I had the front lower rear control arms replaced on both sides as it was an MOT advisory, but now this "knocking" is really annoying me. I am now suspecting it is from the top of the suspension, what parts are the most common culprit. It has been on an MOT ramp on the shaker plates an it is not knocking but thats more side to side, not up and down.

The first item to check are the anti-roll bar links (stabiliser links), are the bushes worn.

Then check the upper arm links as they may have worn the ball joints or the bush on each arm.

Have you had the brake pads changed as loose pads can cause a knocking noise when the car moving over bumps.

Cheer's Dan, no new brake pads fitted, so that has ruled that one out.
Anti roll bar looks like the easiest to do.
How difficult are the upper control arms to change?
the google search was interesting, was wondering if the it could be the shock absorber mounting, are there any rubber parts there?
