    Hi all,

This is quite urgent, I would really appreciate your help on this one.

I was performing an HHO carbon cleaning to a customer's Allroad and the main fan has colapsed after 1 hour and 15 minutes whilst revving up to 2500 RPM, I was just about to finish the process, and the bang was quite dramatic. External temperature was about 36șC.

    The procedure works like this:
    - Bring revs up to 2000 RPM for 10 minutes so it can suck the hydrogen.
    - 1 minute idle.
    - Random accelerations up to 3000 RPM so the turbo VNT vanes open and close for 3 minutes.
    - Repeat cycle.

Question 1 - I have done this procedure to multiple engines like this and others with viscous coupling fans and all has gone well even with 40șC outside. What could have caused the fan to explode like this on this particular engine? (please note the 3 bolts position)
Question 2 - In order to replace the plastic fan, does the mechanic need to remove the front bumper and radiators, or can the fan + clutch be removed without the need of disassembling the front part?

The fan with the clutch come down together with 2 wrenches of 32 millimeters without lowering the front. Check the clutch usually when it is stuck is the reason for breaking the fan
