Hi All,

Not much about this on the internet specifically about Audi A3, so thought I could may get some help here 🤞

I’m looking to buy an Audi A3 2.0tdi with a budget of £5k.
My options are:
1) Get a 8P 2010-2012 model with around 100k miles and 2-3 previous owners.
2) Get a 8V 2013-2015 model with around 180k miles and 1 previous company owner.

I’m pulling towards the second option as I think it’s better to get a 5 years old car with FSH and high motorway miles which is less pressure on clutch, gearbox and flywheel. Less cold starts. Newer technology and the engine seems different with 150bhp compared to the previous 138bhp.
Option one would potentially come with failing flywheel as more city driving and more cold starts during 10 years...

I don’t care much about the resale value as we’re only talking about £5k. Also, option 1 cars would be 15 years old in 5 years time, so their resale value would be low too.

Am I missing anything? What is your opinion? Is 180k miles is too much for a 5 years old car?
What would you do really? 😬
Personal experiences?

Thanks in advance 🙏
