The info available relating to gaining access to the front door top hinge bolts is very sketchy. One of the bolts has its head on the inside of the car and appears to require either a dashboard out, or maybe accessible from the wheel arch after removing the liner? Elsa totally skips over accessing the bolts and goes straight into the adjustment process.

What possessed VAG to have such an inaccessible bolt?

My daughter just bought a car whose drivers door is too far aft at the top and the shut line is a tad bigger at the upper front edge than the bottom. Everything looks straight so not sure why it is like this. Hoping to move the upper hinge forward to help it close better.

Any help or suggestions gratefully received.
