Hi guys newbie here, some kind person smashed my rear glass on my 3 door golf 1.4 mark 6. I have been searching and searching on how to remove and replace. It looks like it’s no screws and just bonded by glue, is this true ? Any help would be appreciated and any help on sourcing the drivers side rear glass

It is bonded, you are basically looking at the like of a front or rear windscreen replacement procedure. The adhesive sealant is usually cut by a cutting wire (tools are available) to release the glass, however since yours is already broken you might not need the tool.
Alot depends on what you intend to do. Are you looking to replace it yourself or have a glazing company do it? Are you looking for a new glass or a used one?
I would get quotes from windscreen replacement firms in your area. You might even be covered by insurance without effecting your no claims here since its glass

Hey ah thanks for the reply back, I was thinking the best option might be to phone around Scrap yard and get a glass myself and bond it back on. I need to see how much a scrap yard will charge I think.

Thanks for confirmation I have gone through insurance it was £100 excess to pay. I tried
Calling local scrap yards and they were not very helpful as bonded I think they are reluctant to take off not sure why as with the right tools
    Can pop off
    Easily.
