    Hi there,

Struggling to find the engine oil capacity for my A5 SPORTBACK TDI 2.0 R4 140KW. I can't even find it in the official Audi workshop manual.

Also, is possible for me to fit a dipstick to this engine as I don't trust the computer.

    Thanks in advance.

    Trevor

Welcome to Audis mmi oil level,I don't know which dumb *** came up with that Idea anyway there is a generic dipstick you can buy or I use a mk6 golf one and have the correct measurements from the hilt to indicator,I would say the capacity would be 5lts. mmi oil level indicator

    Much appreciated for the info.

In my opinion, there should always be a dipstick on an engine. What would happen if MMI screen failed? Just don't understand why they don't come fitted. For all it would cost.

Audis are not built with the mindset of people carrying out basic maintenance on them.

Anyway, i will fit a dipstick when I next get under the bonnet.

You'll probably find unless you cut some of the engine cover it'll be in the way, you're quite right some bone head thought that'll save some money.
