As promised, here's an issue I spotted yesterday.

One of the DRLs seems to be a lot dimmer than it should be, also as you can see below it's got a yellow hugh to it. I put photos of both sides for reference.

Any ideas what could be wrong/possible fix?

Thanks in advance for any input.

This is usually an age/usage related issue and often blamed on overheating/warm climates.
It’s starting to appear randomly on 2010 - 2013 Audi models.
Fix usually means a replacement headlamp which will be €€€, hope you’ve got warranty as you’ve just bought the car.
Great spec by the way and welcome to the forum.

Thanks for the info, a bit of an odd one but would tie in with being in a warm climate.

No warranty so I'll wait and see if a headlamp comes up 'cheap' in the usual places. For now it's something I can live with. Luckily the rest of the unit works normally.

I have dealed with this problem on a Q7 of a friend.

If you disassemble the headlamp you will find that the tube that reflects the LED and makes that shape ( there are 4 LED's ) is burned from heat of the LED.
So the yellow color is just burned/melted plastic were the LED sits. usually it burns and makes a small hole.

What I have done, was cleaning it and polish, its not easy... but it gets better

Another thing, The outerside LED are easier to work, the ones on the Inside (your case) are very difficult to reach and repair.

I have some photos of the previous and after the job, if you want I can show.

Here in Mozambique the DRL its not on the law, so if you want you can Code to turn them on/off on the MMI...

Thanks for taking the time to reply, quite an interesting thing to happen.

I know if I attempted the fix you did I would end up doing more bad than good so I will leave it for now!
