I need to replace the heater hose (running to the coolant flange) on my 2003 Tdi (AWX). The original is 8E2 819 371 D. Looking on the internet for cheaper than genuine parts I can find lots of alternative suffix letters (such as C, R, AN etc). It seems that some of these are for LHD such as B yet some shops and ebay listings suggest D and B are interchangable. Also it might be that the prefix 8E1 is the same. Is anyone able to check for definite which part numbers would fit? Thanks.

The only part shown for RHD AWX is that one. Used only on A4 (no other models) from 2001-2005 if you're trying to find a breaker part, etc.

8E2 indicates RHD I think. The other suffixes are for other engines, such as B fitting AVJ, ALT, AMB, BFB and BEX.

Thanks - I am suspicious of the ebay listings and online parts stores that list the D suffix and B suffix as being the same, sounds like I am right to be!

Thanks both for your help, I can't find anything aftermarket, so it looks like I'll have to get a genuine one.
