Does anyone have a diagram for which colour coded wires relate to which component in the door wiring looms?

Especially for side impact sensor (have seatbelt/airbag fault warning lamp) and door locking module (got faulty locks, am aware that’s probably the lock/module/motor it’s self).

The drivers door has had a few snapped wires (which I’ve rejoined) so I know there’s issues with that loom at least, common issue with golf mk5.

    Thanks

Purple and brown appear to go to side impact sensor on both sides.

Resistance of seat igniters is a well know problem for causing airbag light to come on. If you have VCDS you can look at resistance in real time I think - I recall using a pencil lead as a variable resistor to get a value that would allow me to turn off the warning by getting suitable resistors to bodge in from Maplin. I eventually got a cut-off loom from eBay long enough to remove the connection at bottom of B pillar by crimping instead. That fixed mine.

On drivers side wires to motor locking unit are: yellow, blue/white, brown, white, purple. To contacts / switches: brown/yellow and green/white.

    Is that what you wanted?

Yes that is what I want and thanks very much for proving the info, this is gonna be useful and great tip about testing seat igniters with VCDS.

I should clarify about the wiring for the side impact sensors in the door, do you know which ones in particular they are or are they are? Brown and yellow?

Unless I'm misreading something the sensors have purple and brown wires, and the supplying loom is also purple and brown on one side, red and brown on the other. What is making you think a yellow wire is involved? The yellow I mentioned was for door lock wiring.

Is it front doors on a 4-door we're looking at?

Thanks. The other side of what?

Regarding yellow, not sure what my reason was.
