    Hi
I've not owned an Audi before and am looking at a 2012 estate with the 245hp 3L diesel. It has 140k km but a full service history including a major service at 120k which included the gearbox lubricant change. I've looked through the threads and online at used reviews and don't see anything specific to be concerned about but am a bit nervous about getting an older premium brand. I've owned similar brands but they have been newer than this one. I drove it and it was wonderful on the motorway and huge torque for hills and overtaking. Anything specific you think I should be looking for?
    thank you,

If it helps: my car is 2013 3.0 245. At present, it is on 116k km. As it stands, I feel that it can go at least this much more without any issues (and I did decide to run her into the ground some time back - given the ridiculously low prices at the moment).
The big thing though is the fact that I owned her from new, all the servicing and maintenance was done when due (not the long service life crap) and it was done either by the main Audi dealer or by me. Every time, it got the best parts/oil/etc. possible, regular 4 wheel alignment and so on.
Lastly, it went cross Europe more than a few times (and it will do it a few more I bet!).
So the bottom line is: I truly believe that they are very well built cars and can last very long... But the way they are maintained and used has to do a lot with that longevity.
In any case, good luck and if you do it, I bet you will enjoy it!

I’ve got a 2011 245bhp with over 126,000 miles on the clock. I bought it 4 years ago with 72,000 miles on the clock

In terms of engine work i had an injector go at 100k and then a few months later I had both rocket cover gaskets replaced, all the injector seals and boots and a turbo pipe. That cost £500 but the car has run sweet ever since

I have had it serviced 3 times
Also had the gearbox serviced too
Got my 5th set of tyres to go on at some point
i replaced the shocks and springs approx 18 months ago

Drivetrain wise mine has been largely bullet proof. It’s the other things that grate on me. I had to replace my front parking camera....£193.....I’ve had an issue with the sunroof leaking.......
the latest thing was the wiper motor packing in on me; that was £90

Other than those niggles the car has been great. It will have to stick around a bit longer because nothing out there takes my fancy

I've a 2014 3.0 245, bought it at 30K when 3 years old, now got 60K on it, and still drives like new. Only thing that has gone wrong is a tailgate gas strut, and possibly one the mountings of one of the tailgate motors became loose, although, it did look like all of this had been dismantled in the past.
