Hi everyone, long time listener first time poster!

I have a 2016 4M Q7 with the standard 20” wheels (previous owner ordered it with 21’s but swapped them before I bought it!). I’d like to upgrade, and have found a set of Q8 21s that I like.

According to Google, the Q7 21s are 285/40/21, but the Q8 21s are 45 profile. Will they still fit my 4M Q7 with the higher profile tyre?
Seems a good compromise on ride comfort to be able to get a bigger wheel with a taller profile tyre?

Theoretically Q8 wheels should fit to Q7. However Q7 has 285/40/21, 9,5JX21, ET31 and Q8 has 285/45/21, 10JX21, ET21. This swap could create some speedometer distortion due to slightly different car wheel circumference. But this is still acceptable.
There is also a small risk that the wheel may rub somewhere in the fender recess when turning due to some different size parameters. Honestly, hard to advice until you find out in practice that everything is OK.
Despite the fact that Q7 and Q8 are based on the same platform and suspension for some reason Audi decided to use wheels with different parameters.

I have been looking at Q8 wheels for my Q7 so very keen to hear how you get on with this.
