Hi All,

Sorry if this topic has been covered already, but i had been out shopping with the Mrs and when i got back to my car and started it i got a warning come up on the dashboard saying hand brake malfunction and the light on the hand brake release was flashing and so was the one on the dashboard, not sure what happened so i turned the car off and started again, but still the same issue, i drove off and the warning lights went off, but then my abs and esp came on and are not going away, could some shed some light.

You need a code read doing, it could be something simple such as the switch or even a weak battery.

Hi, thanks for the reply, as for the codes I don't have the use of VCDS, but obdeleven which I ran a scan and got a few codes pop up, I have since driven the car to McDonalds and the abs and esp have gone not sure it was a battery issue.

sounds like the start of the relay issue - cant mind its name but it sits below the ecu and powers up the control untis you mention. its one of my early posts you will prob fins a link within a link lol it can stop the car from starting....
it comes across as something major with a scary price tag to match but its only £15 or so from audi, if its the same thing.
