Hiya, i have a 2004 Audi A3. For the past few months my alarm has been going off about every hour or sometimes a few times within an hour just constantly and I have to unlock it with the button on my keys to get it to stop. I have read a lot on line about some box in the boot and it could be water trapped or leaking battery fluid. But I couldn’t see any info about how to find the alarm box in the boot or how to remove it. Some advice would be great thank

I'd start with the boot and check for water ingress. My A3 (2006 Sportback) had water coming in past a failed third brake light seal, ending up in the boot lock and causing the car to think the boot was opening, so setting the alarm off. When the alarm goes off, check whether the boot light is on.

I had this exact thing happen to me. In my issue the rear wiper has leaked and the fluid runs down to the lock mechanism for the boot lid. It caused a minor short. I took a can of air for cleaning a computer to the lock and dried it out. Alarm issue stopped. Had to add a second seal to my rear wiper washer connection to try and prevent future leaks.
