👋 recently picked up an b8.5 avant black edition. Wanting to sort out the black trim that runs along the bottom. Currently a bit scratched where previous owner has been getting in and out. Anyone removed the trim? If so how. Thank you 😊

If it's anything like the S Line trim, you will first have to break the 3M foam tape (tedious task using heavy fishing line and one end and continue to pry off using trim removal tools so to not damage the sill protection) and then slide the trim forward to release it from the slotted plastic clips.

Edit: if I were you, I'd get it resprayed on the car/smart repair as it will be far less hassle. The clips always break, cleaning off the residue from the 3M tape can be challenging and getting the alignment correct when refitting is not a trivial task.
