Audi A6 2009 AMI part number!

Hi. I have an AUDI A6 2009 (C6 4F) Facelift that does not have AMI!. I read here:

That you can just replace the CD changer unit with the AMI with part no. 4E0 035 785 B and it will automatically work. Is this true?

My other question is that I have only found 4E0 035 785 D part (not B). Will that work as well?

For the facelift A6 with 3G MMI you only need to add a cable into the MMI unit.

You need to active it in the hidden green menu.

Hi Dan, thanks for your message. So, replacing an AMI unit won't work? I just ask this because I found it quite cheap from an A4 2009, for only like $75.

I only say this because the link you sent me, although it might work great, it is a bit over my budget and I cannot spend that much right now.
