Any chance you could pls help me with shock codes too pls? WAUZZZ4G6EN078816

Somehow somewhere smtg went wrong. After replacing shocks and springs now my suspension has no travel, it's very rigid. stick-like.
All the absorption I have it's mostly done by the tyres. car (as in whole body) is riding all the shapes of the road.

Right now these is what I have on:

    Bilstein
    19226903
    Sachs 313366 814902002958 30 h 55 a

    i also renewed these:
    lower suspension wishbone arms
are these arms also different for normal/s-line or all those 3 types of suspension that audi has?

    Thanks for your help

The genuine front dampers are 4G0 413 031 C and originally would have been Monroe and would be the Bilstein 19-226903 you quote, Sachs do not list it.

    A Sachs 313366 replaces 8F0 513 035 J, 8T0 513 035 G, 8F0 513 035 D, 8K0 513 035 AT, 8T0 513 035 M, 8F0 513 035 N, 8F0 513 035 M, 8F0 513 035 E, 8T0 513 035 AB and 4G5 513 035 D

    Which springs did you fit?

What are the make and part number of the arms you used?

thanks a lot. i need a lot of help with all these as it doesn't make any sense to me.
work has been done in 2 parts: arms and absorbers at first and then coils .

the reason i've done coils is that after replacing arms and shocks the car was solid and bouncier too. hence i thought springs were an issue . after replacing springs nothing else has changed, so i didn't needed them anyway (i only have warehouse codes i guess 627445340 and 627446860. i believe they are sachs if that means anything to you guys )

as for the arms, i've never worried about them as i thought they can't be different types, just brands. i believe they are lemforder. i will enquire asap.

so from what you are saying, shocks would've worked with my old springs, as they are a close like4like oem replacement?

    thanks again

    no, sorry

    1st job was fitting

    Bilstein 19226903
    Sachs 313366 814902002958 30 h 55 a
    lower suspension wishbone arms left+right

after that, suspension was very solid/rigid and unstable at 30-40-50 mph. nothing was absorbed

then i thought springs were abused and overused and ive changed them too.
i only have these codes 627445340 and 627446860. i believe they are sachs if that means anything to you guys

it's not the case. suspension is still rigid, car doesn't absorb any shocks whatsoever. when i drive, car vibrates up and down with the shape of the road and all passengers are bounced side to side when road uneven .

done wheel alignment at 2 centres . both times they were within the limits

The dampers are typical of many companies in being a one fits many short cut but the do cross reference correctly, the rears are even more generic but still cross reference OK so I can't see it being the dampers themselves. 627445340 is the ECP number for a Sachs front spring BUT against VAG number 8K0 411 105 EC Sachs don't list a spring... I had this earlier today with ECP, a customer from London came up to have us fit a clutch in his Golf 5 GTI; he had bought ECP supplied dampers and springs by Sachs to do himself but did not enjoy doing one side so asked us to finish the job but I thought I would check the parts first, the dampers were fine but the springs hopelessly wrong. Whenever I buy anything from them I cross reference the manufactures number back to try and avoid **** ups, it doesn't always work! The ONLY aftermarket producer of OE spec springs I trust is Suplex but at the moment their springs are hard to get hold of and so I would suggest what I have done with the Golf 5 here, order genuine springs.

In that Sachs catalogue I linked above it has 8K0 411 105 EC matching their part 993 132. Pops up on here as well: Search for 8K0411105EC - 11 results - onlinecarparts.co.uk.

Whether that is what ECP supplied is another question. OP - if you look closely there should be some yellow or white print on the spring that has that number. A mirror or phone camera might help .

    thanks for this

i had bad/rigid suspension after i fitted the shocks and also before getting springs replaced too.
as soon as there's daylight i'll try and find a curb to mount and take a looksie

just saw that the above 993132 is not recommended for s-line

could you pls tell me the genuine part number for the lower suspension wishbone arms left and right please. I really wanna check those too.
i think those , if they were wrong, they would not have fit. would they?

from what i understood so far, the front dampers , bilstein 9-226903, is a correct part. i'll stick with that.
front sachs springs are not good as sachs does not have listed anything compatible with my car oem part number.

i can't link the springs and dampers i have on the rear with the car's oem part number as i can't identify the spring details. dampers do fit

geez luise. at least i know where to start now. thanks a lot for your time
