    Hi guys,

Had a quick look on the forums but could not find the anwser to my question. I did my cambelt this morning on my 2011 A3 8p 2.0 140CR engine code : CFFB.

Reading the audi book it says the cambelt interval is 210 000km / 10 years, but that seems to be alot, and have read on forums, alot of people having belts snap/tensionner fail well before that, hence why I did mine at 160 000km (bought the car a few monthes back with full audi service history up to 2018) but with no belt change.

I would love a bit of feedback from you guys, stick to 210k km ? Or have Audi changed their mind again and shortened the interval?

    Thanks in advance all

The way VAG quote it is quite complex with differing distances for the tensioner than the belt and some figures as high as 260 klicks and no time interval. We stick to the 4 years and 75k miles upto 2009 and 5 years or 100k miles from 2010. 100000 miles is 160000 klicks. I have seen more belt system failure caused by poor replacement work than lack of maintenance.

Ive been seeing numbers all over, 160k km / 5 years it will be then, happy I did it at 167k km then. Thank you very much for your reply, your torque spec sheet (from my other post) was printed off and came very handy when doing my timing kit yesterday, so thank you again for that too.
