    My Golf variant 1.4 TSI 2007 BLG Engine produce knocking sound on the right side when accelerating hard. invited the mechanic to hear the sound and advise what could be the issue so that we can sort it out before it becomes a major problem but he could not advise me what makes the knocking sound when accelerating hard. Please share your experience and what i can replace to stop this sound.

    Very difficult to say without hearing the noise but it could be pre-ignition knock. What octane fuel are you using in RON?
