Newbie to the forum. In January I bought a 2 litre TDI Ultra estate to replace my aging 2005 B7 TDI which I'd had for around 5 years. The old car was a great drive and with a remap to 170 bhp pulled like a train and could still get 60 mpg on a run. The suspension was great; compliant but firm (even after 170,000 on original shocks). I had upgraded to 17" 225 50's and the result was a brilliant compromise of handling and comfort. My new B9 is more than a little disappointing with respect to comfort. Over light undulations its fine but and significant bump is very harsh and gives me the impression that the suspension is actually lacking travel. I recognise this from my days of lowering Mk1 GTi's which had less travel to start with than the Mk2's......the solution being to cut down the bump stops a little. Has anyone else had this issue. Are there any fixes such as Koni FSD's which are claimed to have adaptive valving? Cheers, Pidders.
