Allroad Suspension

My A4 avant Quattro has just suffered its third coil spring breakage.At only 8.5 years old, I am a bit fed up with that.
i wonder if any of you know if the allroad has updated springs which might last a bit better?

Is it always the same spring?

there should be some stronger aftermarket jobs around....?

It is not the same Spring. All different corners. You may be right that aftermarket springs would be a good idea but i rather fancy an Allroad and wonder if it has stronger coils.

They should be replaced in pairs. This might be what is causing some of the issues.

Thanks Scott. Sadly this view depends, I believe, upon the assumption that these springs broke having reached the end of their useful life. That may be a realistic view which my experience tends to support, but it is not reassuring as to the quality of OEM springs.

I think that generally parts don’t last so well. Might be trying to get the weight of the car down. I have had to replace 4 pairs of discs on various VAG cars with under 50k including 2 sets of rears
