    Hi peeps....

I know this is a VAG forum but i thought i'd see if anybody knew the answer before i go posting elsewhere!

I've recently purchased a Vauxhall Combo (ex RM) 53 reg, and just inside the back door is a "sprung" switch. It's been profesionally installed, and is obviously something to do with the Royal Mail (seen other ex RM vans on ebay with same switch!)

Pressing the button does nothing noticeable so i traced the cables as far as i could to no avail.

Has anybody got any idea what the switch does? Ask your postal worker freinds

    Thanks in advance

    It's the anti-dog button.

Press it and an ultrasonic sound is emitted causing all dogs in the area to run away.

No, but thanks for trying. RM change the rods in the rear door lock mechanism to disable the central locking to the back door for that very reason.

So the back door needs to be opened with the ignition key.

    Any more guess's

    i've been thinking about this...

    and i reckon....

it's a switch to activate the anti traffic-warden forcefield.

to you and i, the van is clearly visible, but as soon as a traffic warden approaches, the van becomes invisible!
