The exhaust sleeve clamp on my mk4 is leaking and very crusty. I've found where I can get a replacement (mine is for 50mm diameter pipe, and is 125mm long - engine code BFQ) but I just wondered if anyone had found the same item in stainless steel anywhere?

    Thanks.

The genuine one 191 253 141 F at £21.17 retail inc VAT will probably outlast the car... as the part number prefix shows, this part was originally used on the Golf 2 from 1984 onwards.

Our local VW garage is completely closed and not even doing essential repairs for key workers. That part code was really useful though as I've been able to find several mail order options from that, including a couple in stainless if I want to go that route. But I guess you're right as looking at the state of the connector, and the fact we've had the car ten years, I think it is probably the original one and was reused when we had the back two exhaust sections replaced a few years back. Not done bad if that's the case. Thanks for your help once again Crasher.
