    Hi guys,
Can anyone say which radiator fan is fault code P1950 related to?. Mechanic failed to tell me after he scanned car and it only became an issue now, when I start looking for replacement part. Read through a lot of info on the net but still can't clearly establish if it is for left fan ( larger diameter) or right fan (smaller diameter)?
    Thank you,
    Eugene

    The possible fix taken from here Radiator Fan (V7) - P1950 - 008 - Movement Restricted / Jammed - Intermittent | Audi-Sport.net

Fix : How to replace the AC air conditioning and radiator fan mk5 VW Jetta

Start the car up with the AC off and one fan should be running then turn on the AC and the other fan should kick in, if it does not then it that one that has the issue.

If no fan is running with the AC off then do the same and turn on the AC if the one kicks in then you that the cooling fan has the issue.

    Thank you Dan,
Checked car straight after wife came back from work so engine nice and hot.
    Results are:
Engine ON, AC off - both fans are on Stop
Engine ON, AC on - both fans are on Stop

Tried to spin both with a stick, smaller fan is free spinning, bigger fan - spins but can feel certain degree of resistance, so this coupled up with a fact that larger fan houses control unit bring me to conclusion that it is a large fan that is faulty..

Now try to find replacement unit at a decent cost.
