2007 A6 Avant S-Line - Front Damper Replacement Part Question!

Hello to all

I've got a 2007 A6 Avant, 2.0 TDI S-Line (BRE Engine).

One of the front dampers is leaking, so I'm going to replace the pair. I've researched the part on OEMPC.com, and the part number appears to be:

4F0413031AS

All models seemed to share the same damper with the same part number, irrespective of engine size and having sports suspension or not. I think my S-Line does have lowered sports suspension as it goes.

I'm down to a choice of two OEM manufacturer's; Bilstein and Sachs. Not much difference in price at about £50 a piece, but I was trying to find out if anyone knew who the OEM manufacturer on these is? I would probably guess at Sachs, but I would be grateful to know. I always like to go gen VAG parts if I can, but the price from TPS was simply stupid. I didn't even bother the local main ******* as I knew it would have been much worse!

Loads of different shocks, you need you pr code off the data sticker in the boot or service book.

BTW - what's FI Suggestion?
