Could anyone give me some part numbers for bushes, am trying to undertake a complete rear suspension rebuild after completing the front last week.
seem to be going round in circles have downloaded both meyle and lemforder catalogues(many yrs working with old bmw's) but don't seem to be able to be absolutely sure of parts require as everyone seems to use slightly different terminology for description of components.
so I am looking for what I think is 3 bushes in lower control arm(8e0 505 311s) and 2 in what I think is rear control arm( bent arm not straight black steel one) have found drop links, arb and subframe kit and track control arm bushes.
I don't want polybushes as I feel they can be too harsh this avant is the le mans version so already stiff and 19" rims I need all the compliance I can get.
Am missing realoem is there a similar thing I can access for audi

Good luck trying to find the lower control arm bushes, I tried a few years ago looking for them and they are simply not for sale and the only person that sell's that big arm is Audi and they are around £500 per side.

Also the bush on one of the upper inner arms is pointless to remove as you cannot remove the bolt holding the arm in place as the fuel tank is in the way and the only way to drop the fuel tank is to drop the subframe.

Baz, that is a LOT of part numbers as in addition to the bushes, every single nuts and bolt MUST be replaced, they are all one time only... it's a HUGE job. We have just finished working with Powerflex to do the full 4BQ (C5 to you) rear end in poly and at some point will build a full unit up for pics before it goes in our Allroad.

You can now get the "axle guide" or rear lower wishbone inner bushes for the 4F, they are made by Febest

Thanks for your advise didn't know that all bolts etc had to be changed too,,is that a main dealer visit for the bolts?
i did get a bolt set with full febi kit for front end which was a bit of a long job don't you just love steel bolts in ali housings, lots of heat ,bashing and swearing to remove.
i have found rear arm bush kit by meyle 1005051008/s with 5 bushes in so guess you need 1 for each side
subframe bush kit with bolts febi 31041(all four inc)
    droplinks(black plastic) lemforder 30549-01
    upper control arm lemforder 29316-01
track control arm(black metal straight arm) lemforder 26620-01/26621-01
    rear diff mount lemforder 29321-01
am waiting for a reply from *******.co.uk seem to be a good supplier at reasonable prices based in Norwich,Head office Berlin.
I agree it does look like the only way to get to them all is drop the subframe right out,a bit involved but if it gets the job done right then I have to do it
am questioning my decision to ' just buy a runaround that's practical and quite nice to look at' because I have only had it a month and so far it has spent 3 weeks up in the air and I have had to buy a ross tech vcds just to do a proper service!!

Some kits from Febi and Meyle come with SOME bolts but otherwise yes it is a dealer job. On the 4B; the rear subframe bolts, of which there are four, cost £29.84... each!
