After the part number for the infeed pipe to the power steering pump on my 2003 A4 3.0 sport (petrol). It fits to the pump on the right hand side (as viewed from the front of the car)

Need to try and order one ASAP as I’m a key worker

So it is on the cars left... If you mean the combined coolant and power steering pipe which rusts through, there are two versions depending on engine type code, one is three times the price of the other which isn’t cheap itself!

    Hi crasher
Yep, sorry it’s on the cars left hand side. It looks like it’s just a rubber pipe, about the diameter of a finger? That fits on the elbow that comes out the top of the PS pump? Doesn’t look like it’s a combined pipe?

You want the hose, not the pipe; these are notorious for rusting through. There are still two variations depending on engine type code.

Yeah sorry Crasher, worded wrong. Its the hose thats split. My engine code is a ASN-LX7Z (I think)

Is there anytihng I could use to seal the small split to get me out of trouble?

LX7Z means “lack Dolphin grey”. I get the part number as being 8E0 422 887 D which costs £13.02 from an Audi dealer. If you order one, get them to check the part number using your REG.

Thanks again Crasher - My 2 local(ish) still 30 miles away, dealers are 'temporarily closed' for obvious reasons, and eBay are only showing the hose from Latvia or the US, any idsea where I can order it online?

If you have a local VW specialist, maybe they would order it in from TPS for you. I would offer but there are just two of us here with the others working from home and John is processing over a hundred mail orders a day on his own so he is upto his neck in it. It does make me wonder what people are doing with all these Powerflex bushes, I checked off and shelf staked four huge cases of them on Friday and half have been spoken for already!

From looking at the diagram I would say no but you may be able to cut it down.
