Confirmed with the supplier wrong springs... apparently Avant spring will do the Quattro but not the FWD, lesson learned.

You can see here and here that the models they fit don't overlap:
    https://www.vogtland.com/en/search?sSearch=950026
    https://www.vogtland.com/en/search?sSearch=950028

There's a whole load of VAG codes for springs on A4, Quattro, Avant, etc that don't overlap with usage. May fit the cups physically, but affect ride behaviour.

Just to follow up on this i got the correct springs fitted, Vogtland have to be the best out there without a doubt, the height is perfect and i'm so surprised that the ride is better than on audi springs! driving just feels easier now. Vogtland for life now.

In the days when suspension kits were all the rage, the brand I imported was Wietec but they went bust and were bought by KW so I started importing Vogtland but the market for fixed height kits started to dry up in favour of Chinese coil overs for £6.75 a car off eBay. I wonder if the fixed height quality kit is coming back as I am quoting on two now. Vogland offer Koni sometimes. The trouble is the UK's roads are in such a terrible state I am thinking of going back to 16's from 18's and raising the car... I have buckled two Alutec rims in a matter of weeks.

Can't quite work out height adjustable coil over kits as the Joe Public people that fit them aren't suspension experts .

Fixed height takes most of the guesswork out minus alignment .

16-18" up sizing is ride height increase change in the real world .

I'm on 18" with lower profile tyres than I would care for , but the ride quality even at 70K+ dampers is very acceptable , something to do with dual rate dampers or something .

Alot depends on how well the spring rates are matched to the dampers .
