Led Bulbs

2005 mk5 Golf Gti

Since I brought the car I have had a light on the dash and a warning that my front left fog light is out - It’s never been out always working.
I’ve taken my front bumper off too paint my grills etc so I thought I’d have a look while I was there.
Both bulbs have resistors.
I’ve swapped the resistor with the right side, I’ve swapped the bulb with the right side and I’ve swapped the bulb and resistor together with the right side and the warning light always remains on the left side.
Surely if it was the resistor or the bulb at fault the warning would have swapped to the right side?
Just wondering if anyone has any idea’s

Are they original spec, and if not can you put a traditional version in to see what it does?

They are aftermarket led bulbs and resistors if thatÂ’s what you mean?
I donÂ’t have any normal bulbs too try as they are Hb4 bulbs.
IÂ’m not sure what parts are like to get hold of at the moment due to Halfords etc closing.
