Heya everyone during this Covid19 pandemic. Lots of time on our hands and nowhere to go.

My Sharan is a wee lumpy and smoky for a few seconds during cold starts. I’ve amp clamped my Glow Harness and measured no current on peak hold. Verified each Glow Plug is N10579202 and all measured around 3.5 to 4.0 ohms. ETKA says 357911253 Position 24 relay ID 103.

Having difficulties locating relay position 24. Pulled the Instrument pinnacle out and I can spot lowest right is relay is #95 and ETKA says that’s Headlamp Washers in position 19. Where is Position 24? Another layer of relays I’m not seeing?

Really baffled with my quandary, please point me to the right place?

On ETKA the list has dividers as you go down. Up to 19 on "upper relay carrier". 24 is on "lower relay carrier".

It has the “control group” number 103 printed on top.

I can see that the Central Electrics module pivots and I can feel that there is a lower relay rack. I’m stalled on moving the works to reveal the lower rack. I’ve popped the retainer clips on each side and the upper retainer clip is disconnected.

I have pivoted many fuse panels on Mk2 & Mk3 golfs / T4 but this one is not giving up without a fair fight.

Nothing VAG is easier to drop the relay panel down than a Golf 2, the Sharamra board was designed by a sadist wearing a Ford coat.

HAHAHA Thank you for making me feel better and that I am not inept. I will try harder now that I know that I'm close to the prize. Cheers!

I spelt that made up word wrong, it should have said Sharalraxy as I used to call them as there was the VW Sharon, sorry Sharan, Seat Alhambra and Ford Galaxy in Europe which were all the same thing built in a factory in Portugal and known as AutoEuropa which is why you see a lot of parts with AE on them. Those parts non produced by VAG and it’s normal suppliers (mainly electrics) are the ones which require Fixing Or Repairing Daily, apart from the Valeo bits which are even worse.

I'm aware of the Portugal line making Sharan Alhambra / Galaxy (up to 06). Thank you for giving AE a name as I see it everywhere. I bought this when I was in DE and drove to Scotland and back. Its now in Canada and is the only specimen here. Loving the 4Motion TDI 7 passenger people carrier on this continent.
