Hi guys, new to this forum having part exchanged my Jaguar XJ, for this 2015 Audi A6 2.0d Ultra SLine Black Edition. Bought the car last week, and very early days but so far so good. I shall update this thread as my ownership continues. This is my 3rd Audi over the last 10 years following on from an A4 cab, and a A5 Sport.

Booked in for a Remap and Carbon clean tomorrow, expecting 35bhp and 70nms increase. Anyway, just to finish off this new thread, here are a few pics

Hi. Would be useful to know how the A6 compares to the Jag.

Hi, thanks, will keep the thread updated as I go. TBH I LOVED the Big Cat, and as economical as it was, I do around 1500-2000 miles/month, so needed the extra economy that I am sure the A6 will give me. As it was the Portfolio model, it had some toys which I haven't got on the A6 such as heated/chilled seats front and rear, reversing cam, heated steering wheel, and USB connectivity. Fortunately I kept my MMI to USB adaptor from the A5, so that works ok. Road tax £30 compared to £235 another bonus :-)

As for the remap, I use a local guy in Poole, who deals with a company called Top Gear. He has revamped 6 different cars for me over the years + he also has access to Audi factory software updates, so he will update my A6 if it needs any, the remap, carbon clean..and job done !! :-)

Hmmn , I've just looked at Top Gear Tuning website for two cars familiar to me and one is way out where it makes peak power and torque like it's fabricated..

Also the 90Nm increase not possible without DPF removal.

Hi...I am seeing him this morning, I will check who does his maps, and report back here later

OK guys....update, Been and had the carbon clean, then checked with Audi software to ensure I had the latest updates, which I did, then the remap, all in all a worthwhile 90 mins spent. He double checked the figures for the remap, and it’s as follows BHP 188 stock now 220, Torques 400 stock now 450, so around 8% on the BHP and 12% Torques, happy with that. Just need to rack up a few miles to allow the ECU time to get used to it.

Ok guys just a quickie to expand on what happened yesterday, took the car over to my mate who plugged it in and checked the Audi software updates to ensure it was running the latest software, and it was Next he plugged in the hose through the air filter box, and performed a Carbon Clean, which means running the car at 1800 revs for 60 mins. Prior to this he read the ECU, and mailed that to his colleague who rewrote the map whilst the Carbon Clean was taking place. Finally once that was complete he flashed the ECU with the remap, then ran diagnostics and cleared any codes showing from flashing the ECU, rechecked to make sure no outstanding codes...all done!!

Just need to do a few miles to allow the ECU to adapt to the new settings and my driving....All Good!!
