    Hi everyone,

Just about to clean my car and noticed quite a lot of rust on the front wings of my a4 2.0 TDi avant. I appreciate the car is nearing 11 yesrs old and that this front wing rust/corrosion does appear to be a common problem.

Knowing that there is a 12 year corrosion warranty, has anyone on here been able to succesfully make a claim against this recently, or is it a case of suck it up and pay for the repair myself? Would you recommend replacement wing or get it treated and painted?

Also, I have a question about the front wheel arch linings. I noticed there is a big gap in the wheel arch liner, behind the front suspension components. Is this normal or should there bea an additional wheel arch panel fitting being the components to cover up the bodywork behind it (see image below)?

It was a bit difficult to take a proper picture, but here it is. The black wheel arch linr can be seen in the bottom left hand corner of the image, but then the inner wing can be seen behind the spring. Is this normal on a b8 avant? If it is, should I get this treated and resprayed at the same time as the wing?

    Many thanks in advance.

Thanks for the responses everyone. Suspect this will jot be covered under Audi warranty so will take to a local body shop to see what they advise - whether they can treat and respray or whether it needs a new front wing.
