Am I correct in saying the HCK gearbox requires 75w 90 fully synthetic oil?
Also what is gl4 - gl5 oil? I'm assuming the HCK box requires gl4? I've heard you shouldn't swap one for the other as they have different properties.

Alot of Internet oil misinformation due to lack of knowledge...

    4F or 4G , and engine code ?

75W90 ( G 052 911 ) is probably right but too thick when cold and Fuchs own take on this is 75W80 .

The car is a 4F, not the engine... The HCK box uses VAG oil part number G 052 532 A2 and at £21.49 per litre for the 3 litres required, why use anything other than genuine?

My mistake, yes Car is 4F, Engine code is Caha.
Do vw make there own oils? I think that's doubtful.

Fuch Titan Sintofluid SAE 75W80 ( G 052 911 ) in my FRK for some years now .

Fuchs is a more specialised oil manufacturer compared to Castrol and also have codeveloped gearbox oils .

Personal choice. Each oil spec has its pros and cons as compared to the next when you read the test results. Its not going to kill it.
