Really sorry. Honest I’ve tried to search but I’m just so confused which gearbox I have. There seems to be lots of options that it could be but can’t find any direct cross reference.
My car is a early 2011 a6 c6 avant 2.7 tdi automatic. The codes on the production label say 4f5 0xh and lower down it has CANA. LDU. Not sure which is relevant.
Reason being the oil line to the transmission cooler split dumping most of the oil and I’m not sure which oil to use to fill it back up with.
    Thanks.

Yes that’s where got the above codes from. But when search on any of them to try and find which atf I need I get very vague results. 😔

Any reason to think it's not up to 7.5l (4.5l-5l for change, but no idea if you've drained it completly) of G052180A2 ATF for a 0AN300041R LDU 'box?

There is a warning "The Continuously Variable Automatic Transmission Multitronic 01J requires a different ATF than shift automatics." Maybe outlets aren't taking heed of that and are listing "regular" ATF wrongly?

I know it’s dumped a fair bit over my drive way so I have no idea what’s left in side. Luckily it happened just a few hundred meters from the house. But of course there was little traction as the torque converter wasn’t pressured. 😔

Is it not best to drain it now? At least then you’ve done an oil change and get the correct amount in.

Well a litre of fluid would cover a square metre or so. Fix up the leak, drain box as if doing a change to clean container, see how short you are of 5l, put it back in and order enough to top up would be my approach.
