Hello.

I’m new to the forum and to Audi ownership. In the process of buying an2008 A4 B7 saloon in Mauritius Blue. Previous car was a Jaguar S Type Sport XS. I look forward to reading up about the A4.

I’m not sure as of yet as I don’t have the car. It’s in Deep South of England and I’m up North in Aberdeen.

Hello Gazwood. I will ask the seller the engine code but he will not have the car back for another week.
can you advise the worst engine codes and the best for a 2008 model 2.0TDI. I would appreciate any assistance as I do not wish to buy a car that may have big problems down the line.

If PD definitely affected by the inferior oil pump drive , if CR some randomly got the bad oil pump drive .

I did read about the oil pump drive and it certainly raised a concern in my head. If the engine is either of the codes mentioned then I will walk away. On a side note I have raised a list of questions that will be emailed to the seller and one was if the oil pump had been replaced.
