TDI 170 Noise when throttle closes

Hi all. TDI 170 PS - when the throttle is closed abrubtly as the revs drop I get a strange droning/booming noise. Doesn't occur if revs drop slowly but if you blip the throttle and allow it to shut it's quite noticeable. Only done 2.6 k miles and just started doing it. Noticeable inside rather than outside, and I don't think it's a vibration type of noise. Any clues please before I go back to the dealer? Cheers

It went in today - they changed the EGR vlave which has cured it.

Mine was on a new GT Sport which has only done 2.7k miles so EGR obviously defective (as was the fuel filter top housing which leaked at 2k and had to be replaced.) Bit disappointed as wasn't expecting these problems with a new VW in such a short time!
