Thanks for the adhesive info. Fortunately I think it can be bonded whilst unloaded as the headliner can be detached from around the whole window and then once the trim has bonded the headliner can be slotted back into the trim.
I shall try and pick up the missing trim from a breakers and investigate further in a couple of weeks. Thanks again for the help.

Oh yes, deffo gluecit on unloaded. I'd consider rouughing up / keying the surface as well. Then leave a week or so to let bond get full strength, esp if using a slow set epoxy for extra flexibility / less brittleness in outdoor temperatures. The mechanical fastners would be to help end points not start shearing under load. Good luck.

I've got the trim parts from a breakers, but am not going to try and fit them until the weather gets better. (Assuming my temporary double sided sticky tape fix coninues to hold up).

I was playing with some adhesives over the w/e and it made me wonder how you were getting on. Pleased you found the parts. Good luck with using them.

I finally got around to glueing the trim back on a couple of weeks ago whilst the weather was good. I used an epoxy glue, thouroughly degreased, and 'roughed up' surfaces where necessary. As the trim had small grooves in it it lined up easily, it was then just a case of supporting it in place whilst the epoxy set. So far it's holding fine........
