The last pic is of the frame with the blind removed. I think is coming from where the frame should be bonded, I may have missed a bit. I got annoyed so just parked it back in workshop and came home. I will have a proper look next week and keep you all updated

    Little update,

Slow progress lately as I've been busy at the Weekends. I've managed to find the source of the leak, where I had greased the runners for the front glass, I had not cleaned the excess away properly causing the adhesive not to bond correctly to the frame. I've managed to clear the excess grease and reseal. Done a test with several watering cans and all seems well. It's now parked outside in the rain all weekend for the ultimate test.

Regarding the blind, I managed to get it all rolled back up nicely. Refitted and tested but seems it has lost some of its tension in the coiled wires so when it's half way out it starts to sag and calapse in, so I've left it in for now in the open position and ordered N aftermarket replacement off the net for £26 as oppose to the VW costing over £240 plus Vat! My main concern is the roof not leaking, I can always sort the blind at a later date

I may start an actual progress thread soon as looking to transfer my leather interior out of my mkV into the MK6 and adding the extra wiring and controls to keep the heated seat functions
