    3 month old Q7 (2020MY)

Brakes are grinding which is only audible inside the vehicle, nothing to be heard outside.

Dealer had it in last week under warranty and de-glazed the brakes however the problem has returned. Total waste of time.

Anyone have any idea what is going on? Would you insist on a new set of discs and pads fitted all round?

Getting a bit tired of all these trips to the dealer on such a new car (safety recall, grinding brakes, grinding brakes 2.0)

    Thanks

I am in 2018 Q7 and have multiple issues with pads and discs. Been back for 3 sets in 18k miles all under warranty.Vibration kept occurring after 3-4k miles. I know i am light on brakes and do mainly motorway mileage so these brakes seem not to like light use. I just don't think the pad/disc combo or individual component parts are up to scratch for a vehicle of this weight and power. Problem is there seems limited aftermarket parts that could replace at the moment which leaves you at the mercy of audi. Apart from this one point i think the car is great, glad i went for it over a Disco 5 which ( as per usual) seem to be riddled with quality a reliability issues.

    Thanks for the response.

Car is great apart from these niggles.

I swapped it for a RR sport that was problem free for 7 years (I had 2 back to back) but if these brakes are constantly going to be an issue I won’t be happy.

Not sure if cross posting is allowed, but perhaps RS5 discs could be an option......
