    Afternoon all!
Got an odd one here on our 2007 S5.
Out the other day & pressed lock on the fob, clunk. Came back some time later & pressed unlock. Lights flash, various clunks as you would expect, pulled handle & door not opening. Neither of the doors open, its a 2 door car but the boot opens... That`s odd.. Unlock again, just the same. Emergency key in the lock & window opens. Reach in, open the door & away we go. Does the same things a bit later so thinking probably door locks, I changed them both along with the outer release cables (one was stiff). Tried the door again & just the same. Got VCDS on it & got an intermittent fault at the door module. Strange, wasnt there before.. Cleared faults & tried again. Same. Read the codes & same fault popped back up. Checked all connections, all sound & still showing intermittent fault. Door loom out & all cables are fine with continuity test. Put another working door module on & just the same. Am at a bit of a loss now..
So apart from getting the parts cannon out & shoot parts at it until it works, any ideas where else to look?
    Many thanks all!

Let's try and untangle which bits are working or not. Fob, key turn in lock and little button on driver door should all be able to tell body contrul unit to deadlock doirs, or release them. Once released a tug on handle shoild open door.

I think VCDS will have tests to lock and release doors. Do they work? If so the locks are OK, but the control unit is not getting signals from fob, etc to instruct the release.

If VCDS can't control doors either control unit or lock modules are at fault. Car damo inside suggesting water damage?
