    Hi all,

Wondering if you could help me?

I just bought a 2016 Q7, and I broke something the second time I got in it. Typical.

It’s the plastic seat cover runner, and it broke in half. I glued it, and it broke again when I installed it. It seems to need to open out and bend to install, which breaks it.

Have ordered a new one, £1.55 from the dealer, but does anybody know how to properly install it? I’m assuming I’m doing it wrong, and don’t really want to break the new one!!!

    Thanks

Have you got a picture as I think mine broke early on in its life and never really bothered to do anything with it...I did try the superglue but it also broke after that so just gave up and let it be

No, it’s in the wife’s car and she’s gone out lol.

eBay item number 273229498542 is the idea though.

I remember kicking mine off in the first few weeks of ownership too! Fortunately it didn’t break and I think it clips back on quite easily.

    Never done it since!

I just can’t seem to get it back on without breaking it.

Hopefully the new one will be easier.

    Cheers both.

Just slide it on from the front flat and straight. Don't 'bend' over the top and push down..
    If that makes sense..

    Hi all,

Just to close this one out, I picked the part up yesterday.

Took a bit of fiddling but got it fitted without breaking it.

    Not bad for £1.55

Was that from Audi DannyBoy? I have a couple of broken covers (one of which is the same as yours) but haven't gotten around to effecting a repair yet.

    Hi buddy.

Yes, that’s from the main dealer.

It’s actually two parts, but the middle thread cover is removable and unlikely to be broken (you may have lost it though). It clips into the part in question.

2 separate part numbers if you need both bits.
